RUNNING and CLIMBING, SIGHTSEEING 2026
22th Feb. 2026 I entered the half marathon division of the Kibiji Marathon on Sunday, February 22, 2026. I finished in the 2-2.5 hour range. Apparently, the opening ceremony and starting point were incredibly crowded, likely due to the Kuroda brothers from Aoyama Gakuin University being invited as guest runners (according to my partner). This was my first time participating, so I don't know what it was like the previous time, but even I, who arrived late at the starting point, felt the lingering effects of the crowds. I was extremely satisfied with the support from the roadside, the spacing of aid stations, the availability of local food, the baggage check-in process, and the number of restrooms. Above all, the clever idea of not having to go through the entry process on the day was incredibly wonderful. I hope this trend spreads nationwide. And thank you to all the volunteers.
