A day of April 2024

I had lunch at CURRY&PASTA Ko, located in the commercial facility Orne, which opened at Takamatsu Station. I was debating between curry and pasta, but I ordered pasta. The three of us, including my companion, ordered different menus, and I ordered mentaiko pasta. The seasoning was very elegant compared to the vivid color of the mentaiko. I felt that the salt and pepper were a little lacking. I was a little puzzled by the fact that my companion's pasta had a strong flavor, but the mentaiko pasta was very bland.

高松駅にグランドオープンした商業施設オルネの中にあるCURRY&PASTA Koでランチ。CURRYとPASTAを悩みましたが、PASTAをオーダー。同伴者を含めて３人が別々なメニューとし、わたしは明太子パスタをオーダー。鮮やかな明太子の色に比べて味付けは非常に上品でした。わたしには塩コショウが少し物足りませんでした。同伴者のパスタはしっかりと味わいがあるのに、明太子パスタだけとっても薄味だったのは、やや疑問です。

I visited Lunch & Sweets STORY again. Last time I had the roast beef bowl, so this time I decided to change things up and ordered the omelette rice with demi-glace sauce. The fluffy and creamy egg goes perfectly with the rich demi-glace sauce. All the menu items at STORY are excellent, and the portions are very filling. The Unshu orange juice and rare cheesecake desserts are also delicious!

Lunch&Sweets STORYさんを再訪。前回はローストビーフ丼でしたので、今回は趣向をかえて、デミグラスソースのオムライスをオーダー。ふわトロの玉子にコクのあるデミグラスソースが相性抜群です。STORYさんはどのメニューもエクセレントで、ボリュームにも大満足です。デザートの温州みかんジュースもレアチーズケーキも美味！

A day April 2024

I played a round at Kogen Golf Club in Kumakogen Town, Ehime Prefecture. This was my second round. It's a mountain course with a lot of ups and downs. I enjoyed the round in the fresh air just before the new leaves appear.

For lunch, I had the tantan noodle set. It has a light soup with a slightly spicy sesame flavor. It also came with two large pieces of fried chicken, so the portion was very satisfying!

I paid a visit to the famous Nice Shot Kannon.

愛媛県久万高原町にある高原ゴルフ倶楽部をラウンド。２度目のラウンドになります。アップダウンが激しい山岳コースです。新緑直前の爽やかな空気の中で楽しくラウンドできました。

ランチは担々麺セット。少し辛めでごまの風味を抑えたスッキリしたスープです。大きな唐揚げが２個付いていて、ボリュームも大満足！

名物のナイスショット観音さまに参拝しました。

Lunch at Hashoutei Tamagawa branch, located near Tamagawa Dam in Nibukawa Hot Spring, Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture. After a long struggle to choose between the special daily set meal of yakiniku bento, chicken nanban lunch, and fried chicken lunch, I decided on the fried chicken lunch, which is rumored to be very filling. As rumored, it came with about 4.5 fist-sized pieces of fried chicken, perfect for men who like big portions. There are bones here and there, so you need to be careful when eating. With such a large portion, the bones are a bit of a charm. Perhaps here is where senzanki that is famous food in Imabari City originated?

愛媛県今治市鈍川温泉、玉川ダム付近にある八勝亭玉川店さんでらんち。特別日替わり定食の焼肉弁当とチキン南蛮らんちと唐揚げらんちでチョー悩んだ結果、ボリューム満点という噂の唐揚げらんちをオーダー。噂にたがわず、げんこつサイズの唐揚げが4.5個くらい乗っていて、大盛り男子にはベストマッチです。ところどころに骨があるので、少し注意しながら食べる必要がありますね。このボリュームなので、骨は御愛嬌です。もしかしたら、今治からセンザンキの源流か？

I had lunch at Marusan, a miso tonkotsu ramen restaurant near Matsuyama City Station that I had been interested in for a while. I ordered the large serving (1.5 bowls) of spicy miso leek ramen, which was at the top of the menu. I was delighted with the combination of my favorite foods, the spicy soup and a mountain of shredded leek. The thick noodles and spicy miso soup went well together and were very delicious. I highly recommend this ramen.

松山市駅ちかで以前から気になっていた味噌とんこつらーめん　まるさんでランチ。メニューの一番上にある辛味噌ネギらーめんの大盛り（１．５玉）をオーダー。辛めのスープと山盛りの白髪ねぎという大好物のコラボに舌鼓。太めの麺と辛味噌スープがよく絡んで、とっても美味。これは高評価です。

lanch is a ramen shop 'Honebuto Mikaku' located in Shinonomezaka, Matsuyama City. I ordered the black ramen because I was attracted by the burnt garlic. The soup and noodles were delicious! However, I felt that the noodles were a little too thick for my taste. Maybe it would be best to have it as a tsukemen.

松山市内東雲坂にある骨太味覚さんでらんち。焦がしにんにくに惹かれて、黒ラーメンをオーダー。スープも麺も美味！ただ、わたしの好みにジャストミートかと言われると、麺が少し太いかなぁと感じました。つけ麺だとベストマッチするのかもしれません。

Hamburger lunch at Grill a Table in the center of Takamatsu. The hamburger steak, made with high-quality meat, is very delicious. The demi-glace sauce goes really well with it.

The amount of rice is a little on the high side for a man, so if you're hungry, consider ordering it.

You can order teppanyaki even for lunch, so if you have the chance, I'd like to enjoy the special lunch.

高松中心部にあるグリル　ア　ターブルさんにてハンバーグランチ。上質なお肉を使ったハンバーグはとても美味です。デミグラスソースがとても合います。

男子的に見ると、ライスがやや上品な量ですので、おなかが空いていたら、要検討。

ランチでも鉄板焼をお願いできるようなので、機会があれば、スペシャルランチを楽しみたいです。

A drinking party at Kingyo, a seafood izakaya on Okaido in Matsuyama City. This is a photo of the elegant appetizers. The dish, which looked like small salted squid, is rare in Matsuyama and left a lasting impression. It was good value for money, so I would like to use it again.

松山市大街道にある産直海鮮居酒屋　金魚さんにて飲み会。お上品な付き出しの写真です。小さなイカの塩辛らしきお料理が松山では珍しく、印象に残りました。コストパフォーマンスがよいので、また使いたいと思います。

Dinner at Takumi Shokuzukuri in Yawatahama City. It is a beautiful restaurant where you can enjoy Yawatahama's seafood. All the dishes were delicious and carefully prepared. The conger eel was especially delicious. The restaurant was bright and clean, and the staff were very good.

八幡浜市内の食作り　拓味さんでディナー。八幡浜の海の幸、海鮮を堪能できるきれいなお店でございます。手間を掛けた美味しい料理ばかりでした。特に鱧がとても美味でございました。店内も明るくてきれいで、スタッフさんも好印象です。

I went to the former Nanbara Residence cafe, which is an innovative old folk house, for lunch, but it was after 1pm and the lunch was SOLD OUT. I took the opportunity to order some sweets and drinks. I made a rice flour chiffon cake. Snap a photo along with your companion's order! These are elegant sweets. It was helpful that the parking lot was large. For some reason, IKUNAS is written on the noren.

古民家をイノベーションしたカフェ旧南原邸にランチに行きましたが、１３時過ぎでランチはSOLD OUTでした。せっかくなので、スイーツとドリンクをオーダーしました。わたしは米粉のシフォンケーキにしました。同伴者のオーダーと合わせて写真をパシャリ！上品なスイーツです。駐車場が広いのは助かりました。なぜか暖簾にはIKUNASと書いています。

If you want to eat Tokushima ramen in Takamatsu City, I recommend Menno, located in front of Takamatsu Station. Tokushima ramen has a thick soup that coats the noodles and is very delicious. Raw eggs make Tokushima ramen mellow.

高松市内で徳島ラーメンを食べるなら、高松駅前にある麺王さんはわたしはオススメだと思います。徳島ラーメンは濃いスープが麺に絡んで、とっても美味でございます。生タマゴは徳島ラーメンをまろやかにしてくれます。

We took a break at Godiva in Mitsui Outlet Park Kurashiki. As spring approaches, I order Godiva's recommended cherry blossom chocolate mixer. It smelled slightly like sakuramochi and was very delicious. For a commoner like me, it was a spring reward.

Mitsui Outlet Park Kurashikiにあるゴディバにて一休み。春間近、ゴディバが推す桜ショコリキサーをオーダー。ほんのり桜餅に似た香りがして、とっても美味しくいただきました。わたしのような庶民には春のご褒美になりました。

First experience of Okayama prefecture soul food shrimp rice!

Before going to Mitsui Outlet Park in Kurashiki City, to fill up my stomach, I tried the "shrimp rice'' that was introduced at the prefectural TV show.

I ordered the fried shrimp plate, and my two companions ordered the minced cutlet plate, as well as half shrimp rice and wonton soup.

First experience with shrimp rice. It looks rich in color from the outside, but when I eat it, it's seasoned with Worcestershire sauce as the main ingredient and a variety of seasonings, and goes well with the plump shrimp.

Both the fried shrimp and the minced meat cutlet have traditional seasonings that make them feel nostalgic.

One of my companions, who is a light eater, was reluctant to eat the half-shrimp rice, so be careful with the amount. In my impression, the amount of shrimp rice on the plate was about the same as half shrimp rice.

岡山県民ソールフード　えびめし初体験！

倉敷市にある三井アウトレットパークに行く前に、腹ごしらえということで、確か県民ショーでも紹介された「えびめし」に挑戦。

わたしはエビフライプレートを同伴者二人はミンチカツプレート、ならびに、ハーフえびめしとワンタンスープをオーダー。

えびめし初体験。外見は濃厚な色彩ですが、食べるとウスターソースをメインに様々なシーズニングでほどよい味付けでぷりっとしたえびちゃんとよく合います。エビフライもミンチカツも昔ながらの味付けで懐かしーい。

少食な同伴者１名はハーフえびめしを食べあぐねていましたので量には要注意です。わたしの印象ではプレート系のえびめしの量はハーフえびめしと同じくらいの量に感じました。

After the pilgrimage walk, we took a break at Kuma Cafe at Sakaide Station, which is sponsoring the pilgrimage walk. I ordered iced rooibos tea and chocolate rusk, which gave me a "life-giving" feeling (I think the name was something like ?) for my tired body after walking. We received a small rusk as a bonus for the pilgrimage walk.

お遍路ウォークのあと、お遍路ウォークに協賛されている坂出駅のクマカフェさんで休憩。歩いて疲れた身体に「いのちの…」（？みたいな名前だったとおもいます）なるアイスルイボスティーとチョコラスクをオーダー。お遍路ウォークのおまけで小さなラスクをいただきました。

My first visit to Mizuta Shoten in the Tobe area of Ehime Prefecture. It's around 1:30pm, but there's still a queue outside the store. While waiting, you can admire the goldfish outside the store. I ordered black Mayu with charred garlic and green onion chashumen. It has a classic rich taste, and the green onion accent gives you a sense of comfort. The char siu is beautifully decorated like a flower and is irresistible for char siu lovers. There was too much chashu, so the soup may have been a bit cold.

愛媛県砥部方面にある水田商店さんを初訪問。１３時半ごろですが、まだ店外まで待ち行列が…。待ち時間は店外の金魚を鑑賞。焦がしニンニクの黒マーユ　ねぎちゃーしゅーめん黒をオーダー。王道のこってり味で、ネギのアクセントに安らぎを感じます。お花のように飾り付けられたたっぶりチャーシューが美しく、チャーシュー好きにはたまらない趣向です。チャーシューが多すぎて、少しスープが冷めたかも。

Afternoon tea at ECHELON TEA HOUSE TAKAMATSU.

This is a unique style of TEA HOUSE where you order pudding or scones and enjoy small portions of tea selected by the staff over and over again. I enjoyed various types of TEA that I don't usually drink. By the way, I ordered Tea soda and enjoyed free tea.

プリンやスコーンをオーダーして、スタッフさんが選んだteaを少量ずつ繰り返し楽しむという珍しいスタイルのTEA HOUSEでございます。普段飲むことのないような色々な種類のTEAを楽しみました。ちなみに、わたしはTea sodaをオーダーして、free teaを楽しみました。

First round at Uwajima Country Club. On this day, almost everything was done completely by myself. The forecast is for rain from the morning, and the weather will worsen by the evening. I managed to hold out until noon, but on the 15th hole in the second half, water started floating all over the green and I couldn't keep my putter steady, so I had to cancel the round. For lunch, I ordered a set of Yawatahama Champon and half mapo tofu bowl (Mr. Chen?). On completely self-service days, there are only two choices: chicken bowl and soba set.

宇和島カントリー倶楽部初ラウンド。この日はほぼ何もかも完全セルフ。朝から雨模様で、夕方にかけて天気は崩れるとの予報。昼まではなんとか持ちこたえるも、後半１５番ホールにてグリーン全体に水が浮きはじめ、パターがままならず、ラウンドを中止。ランチは八幡浜チャンポンと半分麻婆豆腐丼（陳さん？）のセットをオーダー。完全セルフの日は鶏丼とお蕎麦のセットの２択のみ。

松山鯛めし秋嘉本店

I'm an old man with Matsuyama roots who believes that one of the soul foods of Matsuyama citizens is cooked sea bream rice. Uwajima taimeshi, which is made by putting sashimi on top of rice, is delicious, but Matsuyama taimeshi is also very delicious, so be sure to give it a try.

松山鯛めし秋嘉本店

松山市民のソウルフードの一つは炊き込みの鯛めしだと思っている松山ルーツのおっさんです。ほかほかご飯にお刺身を乗せる宇和島鯛めしも美味しいですが、松山鯛めしも大変美味ですので、ぜひご賞味ください。

I went to Kurume Tonkotsu Ramen Matsuyama Branch School to try Kurume Ramen, the king of rich tonkotsu. I ordered the popular branch school ramen (large). The soup was rich and satisfying, but I might prefer the soup to be a little more salty or soy sauce-like.

こってりとんこつの王者久留米ラーメンをいただくべく、久留米とんこつラーメン松山分校さんへ。評判こってり系の分校ラーメン（大）をオーダー。スープはしっかりこってりで満足、わたしはもう少しスープの塩味あるいは醤油感がある方が好きかもしれません。

Lunch at Joli Pasta Takamatsu Rainbow Road store. Thank you for the oyster fair. I ordered the oven-baked cheese pasta, which seems to be my favorite. The small pot is packed with cheese, pasta, and vegetables, making you very satisfied. It was rich and filling.

ジョリパスタ高松レインボーロード店にてランチ。牡蠣フェアでございました。イチオシらしき、窯焼きチーズパスタをオーダー。小さなお鍋にしっかりとチーズ、パスタ、お野菜が詰まっていて、大満足。濃厚でお腹いっぱいになりました。

I heard that Mr. Manju's tar men is a specialty of Matsuyama, so I stopped by right away. Gomoku ramen with hearty sauce served on a large deep plate. The pepper is an accent and I'm satisfied. Spicy mapo tofu is exciting and delicious.This mapo tofu is my favorite.

万寿さんのタールメンが松山名物であると聞き、早速、お邪魔しました。大きな深めのお皿にボリュームたっぷりのあんかけ五目らーめん。胡椒がアクセントになって、満足です。辛めの麻婆豆腐は刺激的で美味、この麻婆豆腐、お気に入りです。

KEIGETSU Extra Dry Tokubetsu Junmai

It is dry and packed with the rich flavor of rice. Moreover, the aftertaste is refreshing. I think this is Tosa's sake, along with Minami-san.

辛口で、お米の芳醇な旨味がぎゅっとつまっています。しかも後味はすっきり。南さんと並ぶ、The土佐の酒だと思います。

First visit to Shohachi Udon Kanonji main store. Unlike other stores, the store is open after 3pm, which is helpful. Since we were running out of time, we didn't have a lot of toppings. The soup stock is very simple and has a mild taste. The noodles are a little soft. Personally, it's my favorite flavor.

将八うどんさん、初訪問。観音寺本店でございます。他店と違い１５時以降もお店があいていて助かります。時間が時間だったので、トッピングは少なめでした。お出汁はとってもシンプルで、やさしいお味。麺はやや柔らかめ。個人的には好きな味です。

First time in my life 🔰 Inn Yahata PA Yahatatei

Discover and order the Kone Yakiniku set meal, which is rumored to be very popular among Hiroshima residents. It was thinly sliced red meat with a little bit of fat. Since this is my first time doing this, I am giving it a slightly high score.

広島県民に大人気と噂のこうね焼肉定食を発見＆オーダー。すこし脂身の多い薄切りの赤身肉でございました。初こうねということで、ちょっと高得点にしています。

in Inachuu at Miyajima island Hiroshima Pref. Japan!

While exploring the shops to enjoy Miyajima's famous conger eel rice, I happened to find a shop with only one group waiting in line. A group of four ordered 2 oyster fry set meals and 2 conger eel dishes! The conger eel rice is a perfect combination of crispy grilled conger eel and rice soaked in sauce, giving it the taste of a teppanyaki dish. Furthermore, the fried oysters are of the highest quality, with no taste at all, yet with a rich oyster flavor, one of the best fried oysters I've ever eaten.

宮島　いな忠さんにて

宮島名物あなごめしをいただくべく、お店を探索するなか、ナイスタイミングで行列が１組だけのお店を発見。四人グループでカキフライ定食✕２とあなごめし✕２をオーダー！あなごめしはカリッとめに焼いたあなごとタレのしみ込んだご飯が、相性抜群で鉄板のお味。さらにカキフライは極上、全くクセがなく、それでいて濃厚な牡蠣の味、いままで食べたカキフライの中でも秀逸でございます。

Buffet lunch at the roadside station Tenku no Sato Sansan's Sansan Restaurant! In addition to the standard menu such as fried chicken, curry, pasta, and grilled mackerel, there was also seared shiitake mushrooms. This is a rare delicacy that can be tasted in the mountains of Kochi.

道の駅　天空の郷　さんさんのさんさんレストランにて、ビュッフェランチ！唐揚げ、カレー、パスタ、焼き鯖などなどの定番メニューに加えて、椎茸のタタキがありました。これは高知の山中で味わえる貴重な美味でございます。

At the roadside station Mikawa restaurant, we discovered Tsuruhime's ramen, which is famous as a winter-limited ramen shop in the Yanagidani area! Taiwanese ramen was also on the menu, so I was convinced. I checked with the cashier and it was true! Ramen Tsuruhime is back at Michi-no-Eki Mikawa! ! !

道の駅みかわのレストランにて、柳谷地区の冬季限定ラーメン店として有名な鶴姫さんのラーメンを発見！台湾ラーメンもメニューにありで、確信しました。レジ係の方に確認すると、その通り！ラーメン鶴姫さんが道の駅みかわにて復活です！！！

Japanese lunch at my favorite mole shop in Takamatsu city. I was torn between kaiseki and chirashi sushi, but ordered chirashi sushi. The first bite of miso soup, the second bite of chirashi sushi, the fresh sashimi, and the freshly fried tempura all have a gentle and elegant taste. No wonder it's hard to get a reservation on Saturdays and Sundays. I bought a cake on the way home.

高松市内、憧れのほくろ屋さんにて和食ランチ。懐石とちらし寿司で迷いましたが、ちらし寿司をオーダー。一口目のお味噌汁、二口目のちらし寿司、そして、新鮮なお刺身に、揚げたてのお天ぷら、いずれも優しくて、上品なお味です。土日はなかなか予約が取れないというのが頷けます。帰りにケーキを買って帰りました。

Matsuyama ramen and half fried rice set at Ishizuchi SA (up line). The slightly sweet soup unique to Matsuyama Ramen is delicious. I think it would be even better if the half-fried rice could be finished a little more crisply.

石鎚SA（上り線）にて松山ラーメン＆半チャーハンセット。松山ラーメン特有の少し甘めのスープが美味です。半チャーハンはもう少しパラっと仕上げていただけるとなおよいかと。

Ramen at Ajito at the roadside station Seiryu no Sato Hijikawa. I ordered the meat miso bean sprout dandan noodles with beef offal, which is only available in winter. This is elegant and very delicious. The moderately spicy soup, the texture of the beef offal and bean sprouts, and the slightly soft noodles are a perfect match. Please make this a permanent menu rather than just a winter limited edition.

道の駅清流の里ひじかわにある味人さんでラーメン。冬季限定牛モツ入り肉味噌もやし担々麺をオーダー。これはエレガンスでとっても美味。適度な辛さのスープ、牛モツともやしの食感、少し柔らかめの麺が絶妙にマッチします。冬季限定と言わずぜひ常設メニューにしてください。

Lunch at Kirara Shokudo in Kumakogen Town. I ordered the chicken nanban set meal. The small shop was popular in the area, attracting people of all ages, including high school students. The taste is good and the volume is good. The atmosphere of the half-self-service restaurant made me feel at ease.

久万高原町にあるきらら食堂さんでランチ。チキン南蛮定食をオーダーです。小さなお店に高校生をはじめ老若男女が集まる地域の人気店でした。お味もよし、ボリュームもいい感じです。半分セルフのお店の雰囲気にほっこりしました。

The famous sake brewery "Minami Sake Brewery" located in Yasuda Town, Aki District, Kochi Prefecture!

I think this is truly a famous sake that represents Tosa and Shikoku. The mellow, deep flavor and sharpness after drinking are a wonderful balance.

高知県安芸郡安田町にある有名な酒造「南酒造」さんの南！

これは本当に土佐、そして、四国を代表する銘酒だと思います。芳醇な奥深い味わいと飲んだあとの切れ味が素晴らしいバランスで同居しています。

I had my first fried oysters of the season at Coffee Salon Emperor, one of the long-established coffee shops in Takamatsu. The fried oysters were very delicious, but there was a slight smell of cigarette smoke as there were no non-smoking seats. It has a retro Showa atmosphere, including the cigarettes, but robots are also active.

I visited UeharayaHonten, located nearby Ritsurin Park in Takamatsu City. I ordered normal udon noodle and

栗林公園の向かいにある上原屋本店さんにてかけうどん（大）とかき揚げ。久しぶりにお邪魔しましたが、しっかりとしたお出汁とほどよい腰の麺の組み合わせは香川県のさぬきうどん店のなかでも五本の指に入る秀逸さだとわたしは思います。

I play golf at Ehime Golf Club first time. That course is one of the most prestigious golf clubs in Ehime Pref. As my lunch, I ordered a flyed horse mackerel. It's good taste because of freshly flyed and piping hot.

The Ehime Golf Club was very beautiful due to good maintenance. Truely a prestigious golf club. By the way, It's greens very fast.

We could see the Mt. Ishiduchi and so on over the fiarway, the top of those mountain have snow on the top .

Japanese sake 'Kaze no sato' made by YOUROU SYOZOU. It means a town of wind in English. It is fruity taste and highly fragrant. But it's not too sweet and no sweetness left.

I visited to Grill Agape グリル＆洋食　アガペ in Takamatsu city Kagawa Pref.

Agape is traditional westen food restaurant and famous in Takamatsu city. It was just before 2pm, but the place was full so I had to wait a while. I ordered 'A lunch' which have fried shrimp fly and hamburger steak with naporitan pasta. All of those were very delicious and nostalgic taste like Showa era.

I visited Grill Chigusaちぐさ in Kumakougen city Ehime Pref again. I like Ramen nudlle offered by Chigusa. In this time, I try the grill beef and ramen set (I have never eaten it's set)

The beef is very delicious, because Chigusa is specialize in grill meat. And as usual, Chigusa's ramen is very delicious.
